Bin Brexit in Brum - 30 September 2018

What a fantastic march and rally the team from EU in Brum laid on for us over the weekend. The Andrew Adonis' total was 12 thousand participants! Victoria Square was packed with more supporters joining as we marched around the streets. A big thank you goes to Karen for her help with the marshal's (does that make her Sheriff?).

The marchers were accompanied by a range of music (and the usual chants about 'Testiculis ad Brexitum' and sticking Brexit up a curtain individual...) including a Samba band, a pair of trumpeters playing Ode to Joy and the, now infamous, Swindon percussionist. More supporters joined the back of the march as it progressed. An inspiring site...

Once at Victoria Square we were entertained, informed and rabble-roused by a succession of speakers and entertainers:

The No10 Vigil

Faux BoJo

Madeleina Kay (EU Super Girl)

The whole speaker line up was as follows.

AC Grayling - Philosopher and Author

Brigid Jones (no, not that one) - Birmingham Labour Councillor

Morriam Jan - Birmingham Liberal Democrats

James Mellor, Andrew Hardy & Andy Davidson - Remainer Now

Alena Useinovic - In Limbo

Marina Prentoulis - Another Europe is Possible

Charles Gibson - Best for Britain

Daisy Cooper - Liberal Democrats

Mark Anderson - for Neena Gill MEP

Tim Skeet - Former chair of B4E

Andrew Adonis - Labour Peer

All MC'ed by Tim Evans from Surrey for Europe
